Train wrecks

Hey everyone! This time coming from Whistler. We were able to spend 3 days here and we loved every bit of it. After a ridiculously long driving day it was nice to get to our hostel and be able to relax for a couple of days. We stayed at a hostel that was above the South Side Diner which was perfect. Every morning we were able to grab some breakfast. I recommend the French toast. It was so good!

We spent the entire time exploring. The village was a lot bigger then I thought it would be. There are so many shops and even more restaurants and bars. Such a cool place. We were there when they had a BMX event on. So it was super busy, which actually made it better I think.

There are so many things to do we didn’t really know where to start. We ended up doing a tree trek that went for about 2 hours up the mountain. It was pretty cool walking through the trees across suspension bridges. We drove to a hiking spot that is called the train wrecks. Which makes perfect sense. There are 6-8 abandoned derailed trains literally in the middle of a forest. It was probably one of my favourite hikes we did in the whole entire trip! There are 3 different lakes you can hang out at during the summer too. I liked Alta lake the best. It was the closest thing to a beach.

I highly recommend visiting Whistler. I know it is super popular in the winter because of all of the skiing but it isn’t too bad in the summer either. Still heaps to do so you will never get bored!

Have you ever been? What did you think about the place? I’d love to here about it.
