How did you get into blogging?
I would spend hours every day reading blogs (mostly beauty and fashion reviews) and I became completely immersed in the blogging world. At the same time, I had just finished my studies in PR and was feeling incredibly lost. I created my blog as an escape to everyday life and to document the things I love; whether it be a new outfit, a latest lipstick obsession, or ticking somewhere off my bucket list. I poured all my energy into it and it soon became my biggest passion.
Did you ever think blogging would become your full time career?
No, not at all! I still have to pinch myself that I’m doing it full-time.
What is your favourite topic you like to write about and why?
Definitely travel. I get so excited to share new destinations with my readers that the words just flow!
Who is your biggest blogging inspiration?
This is a tough one because I love so many. Chiara Ferragni, Do You Travel, Negin Mirsalehi & The Skinny Confidential are some of my favourites.
Craziest pinch me moment since becoming a blogger?
I think every time I get to travel or work with a brand I love, all because of my blog, is a massive ‘pinch me’ moment.
What’s your best advice to anyone wanting to make blogging a full time career?
The industry is so saturated nowadays I think it’s important to not blend in with everyone else. You don’t need to follow trends or own the latest gucci handbag to become a blogger. Be different, be authentic and be you. Also be consistent! I posted nearly everyday for 2-3 years before gaining some momentum.
What is your dream travel destination and why?
I would love to visit Colombia soon! Cartegna in particular looks like an absolute dream.
Where is your favourite destination you have ever been too?
Greek islands – total paradise.
What are your top 3 travel essentials?
World adapter, earphones & portable charger.
What’s your favourite thing about being able to travel to world for work?
When I worked full-time in an office, I could hardly go on trips because I couldn’t get the time off. Now I can just leave whenever an opportunity arises and take my laptop with me. I love being able to work on-the-go in new destinations, it’s much more inspiring than an office!
