Falls Festival – Byron Bay

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great time over Christmas and New Years. I spent Christmas in Adelaide. It was so lovely to catch up with the family. I feel like we ate for 5 days straight. For New Years I flew back home to Brisbane and road tripped down to Byron Bay with some friends for Falls Festival. It was a 3 day festival but we arrived a day early to set up our camping area.  It was so busy, with cars lined up with tents all over the park lands for literally as far as the eye can see. The festival was insane. There was always something on and something to do. They had heaps of food stalls, Dj’s and even a man made beach with 12 or so different sized pools. I loved dressing up and getting into the festival vibe. An outfit wasn’t complete without some glitter of course. It was great! It was the best way to spend New Years. We saw so many bands like Confidence Man, Peking Duk, Angus and Julia Stone, Flume and The Kooks. If you are in Australia over New Years and not sure what to do, definitely go to Falls Festival. They sell heaps of different tickets depending on what you want. Which I think is great too.

Make sure you bring…

– 3 killer festival outfits                       – Glitter

– Boots                                                  – Gum boots (in case it rains, the whole festival turns to mud. In my case it did…)

– Poncho                                              – Tent

– Sleeping bag/Pillow                          – Water bottles

This was my first festival and I loved it. I definitely want to go to more in the future. Do you have any recommendations? Let me know!

Talk soon, Sara xx
