Berlin in less then 48 hours

Berlin was not what I expected. I didn’t really know what to expect either to be honest. We were only there for 2 nights and one full day so we tried to do as much as possible. The first thing we did was a Third Reich Tour. It went for about 3 hours but it was a great way to walk around Berlin and know about the history of it too. I would definitely recommend if you are into history! For lunch we were searching for the best place to try a Pork Knuckle. The restaurant we went to was called ‘Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt'”. I am pretty sure they told us the Pork Knuckles were 1 or 2kgs each. So we decided to share one between two. Thank god we did! It was so delicious as well as the extra pretzel we may have had on the side…  After lunch we just explored the city to walk off our massive lunch we just devoured. We went shopping and bought a couple of things before heading back to the hostel and getting ready for the night. At night we went on an alternative art tour and bar crawl. It was pretty different but cool to see all of the street art and getting some free drinks along the way. We ended our night at a night club called ‘The Matrix’. It was great to end the day hanging out all together and having a good time.

What to do:

– Try a Pork Knuckle for lunch or dinner.

– Go on a Third Reich Tour around the city. This will cost about €15 but it goes for about 3-4 hours and gives you so much information on the history of Berlin.

– Check out the night scene of the local bars around the city of Berlin.

When you go travelling do you like to have a plan or just see what happens and enjoy your time in a particular city? Let me know in the comments below. I would love to see what people prefer. Thanks so much for reading, hope you enjoyed!
